5K “Young Ambassadors” - Teeba, Ala’a, and Humoody - Agree to Serve as ICF Youth Advisors

The Iraqi Children Foundation (ICF) is pleased to announce that Teeba, Ala’a, and Humoody who served as “Young Ambassadors” for the 2017 IN THEIR SHOES 5K, have agreed to serve as Youth Advisors for ICF.   All three suffered enormous hardship as children in Iraq:  Teeba suffered grievious injuries when an IED blew up the car in which she was riding. Humoody was shot in the face and blinded.  Ala'a was abandoned as a little boy with cerebral palsy.  Today, Teeba, Ala'a, and Humoody have turned their hardships into advocacy for children back home in Iraq.  ICF is honored to have all three of them on the team to bring hope and love to Iraq’s orphans and most vulnerable children.
